Jeryl, Office Manager & Buddy
We welcomed Jeryl to Lawrence Veterinary Hospital in 1990 as a Receptionist. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2014. She attended Allen County Community College, Iola, Kansas before marrying her husband Craig.
Before settling in Lawrence and due to Craig’s military service they lived in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Rhode Island. Since raising their family in Lawrence, she now enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, their activities and traveling. She is an avid KU basketball fan.
She likes working at Lawrence Veterinary Hospital because of her love for pets, the family atmosphere among the employees and because no day is exactly the same. She enjoys the people and pets that walk through our door each day. Jeryl doesn’t have a pet presently but has shared her home with several beloved Golden Retrievers. She often babysits Kathleen’s dog Buddy, and adores him.
Erika, Receptionist & Jolene
We welcomed Erika to Lawrence Veterinary Hospital in late 2015 as a Receptionist. She began working in the veterinary field in California in 2002, having known from a very young age that she wanted to work with animals, inheriting that passion from her father. She moved to Kansas in 2005 and has consistently worked in the veterinary field since then.
She has children and grandchildren in California where she visits as often as she can. In her free time, she enjoys going to the dog park, kayaking, fishing, camping, spending time with friends, and crocheting. She has shared her household with many pets, and currently has: 2 Dachshunds, a Schnauzer/Yorkie mix, a Shih Tzu, 2 Ragdoll cats, a Domestic Shorthair, and an African Grey parrot named Ingrid, whom you can meet in our reception area on days she accompanies Erika to work.
She likes working at Lawrence Veterinary Hospital because of the family environment, and the fact that it feels like home. “Since day one everyone has made me feel very comfortable.”
